Anuradha (better known as Anu), CEO of Optimum Employee Benefits (Pty) Ltd since March 2020, is a certified financial planner and an admitted advocate (non-practicing).

Anu, a highly accomplished legal professional with a wealth of experience in the field of retirement planning and law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning Law, demonstrating a keen interest in the intersection of law and finance. Anu is also a member of several prestigious professional organistations, including the Pension Lawyers Association of South Africa, the Institute of Retirement Fund, the Financial Planning Institute, and Batseta.

Anu's expertise and dedication have earned her a reputation as a trusted adviser and thought leader in the retirement planning industry. She has a proven track record of success in helping clients navigate complex retirement planning challenges and achieve their financial goals.

She has 36 years of experience in employee benefits. During her time at Momemtum (previously Southern Life) she gained experience in various departments and served in managerial positions (operations, installations, training and legal). Anu served as a trustee for various funds and was the appointed Principal Officer on the Funds@Work funds. She lectured on the Legal Framework of Retirement Funds of the Momentum graduate program.

In 2004 she moved to Sasol, where she headed up the Pension Fund Team, Pensioner Payroll and Beneficiary Trust Departments. She also worked closely with the Employment Law team.

In 2007, Anu joined Cedar Employee Benefits, where she recruited and developed a consulting team. Appointed as a director in 2008; she became responsible for consulting legal matters, and new business teams. Anu has also provided independent principal officer services to various industry funds and developed an induction trustee training program - registered with INSETA - to sell commercially to the industry. She is currently the independent Principal Officer of the Combined Retirement Annuity Fund and SMU Retirement Fund.
